Annual Golf Classic

Participants

Our Annual Golf Classic was held on Monday, June 7, at
Torresdale Frankford Country Club.

It was an eventful day for all the participants.  This year we
had only one flight - at 1 PM.  All participated in the putting
contest and there were prizes for closest to the pin and
longest drive.

The day concluded with a cocktail hour and awards
dinner.

FALCONWAY

FALCONWAY was established in 1989, as a unique appeal to our alumni and friends to raise money in a combined appeal to benefit our two favorite charities - Northeast Catholic Alumni Memorial Scholarship Fund, Inc.; and the Oblates of St. Francis deSales. Since its inception the Appeal has raised over 5 million dollars. The drive begins on November 1 and concludes on October 31 of the following year. You can forward your tax deductible contribution to any one or all of three organizations. Checks should be made payable to FALCONWAY and mailed to P. 0. Box 4896, Philadelphia, PA 19124-0896. Use the form to indicate your choice(s) of recipients.  Print member/donation form.

Turkey Bowl Beef & Beer

Turkey Bowl Beef & BeerThe Annual Fall gathering of Falcons is held prior to our annual clash with the Pioneers of Frankford on Thanksgiving Day. This year the affair was held on November 22 at Chickie's & Pete's.

It gave us a chance to root the Falcons to a victory on Thanksgiving. Tickets may be obtained by mailing your check to Northeast Catholic Alumni Association, Inc., P. 0. Box 4896, Philadelphia, PA 19124-0896. The calendar will contain specific information as to date, time, and price.   Print registration form.

This will probably be the last Northeast Catholic - Frankford clash.  With that in mind the school has secured the field at LaSalle College for the game.  Tickets at $10 each are available from our office
or school or you can order them by mail by sending the proper remittance to us at P. O. Box 4896, Philadelphia, PA  19124-0896.  In keeping with this historic occasion, we have made arrangements
for a brunch to be held in the ballroom on the second floor of the Student Union Building at the college.  It overlooks the end zone and will afford an excellent spot for viewing the game.  Tickets at
$25 each are restricted to the first 200 and will be sold on a first come first served basis and can only be obtained through the Alumni Office.

Memorial Mass and Communion Breakfast

Memorial Mass and Communion BreakfastAn event that has been on our calendar since we were founded in 1929 is our annual Memorial Mass and Communion Breakfast.  Mass was concelebrated at the Cathedral Basilica of SS Peter and Paul at 8:30 AM on March 21, 2010 by the clergy members of the Classes of '84, and '59.  Immediately following Mass we adjourned to the Sheraton City Center Hotel for breakfast.  The recipient of our Annual Outstanding Achievement Award was the Oblates of St. Francis deSales.  Their Provincial, Father James Greenfield, delivered the principal address.  Bob Kelly, CBS3, was the Toastmaster.  For information on next year's Breakfast, please call us at 215-289-4994 or email us at infonecath@necathalumni.org.

The calendar will contain up-to-date information on speakers and ticket prices as they become available.  Print registration form.

Each year, another class is added.  This year, the Reunion was held on November 18 at Dugan's, Roosevelt Blvd. & Borbeck St., Philadelphia.  Festivities included a luncheon at noon and then an afternoon of dancing to old time favorites provided by a live group.  Print registration form.

Memorial Day Services

Every Memorial Day since 1949, we have met at the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima at the entrance to the Northeast Catholic Campus to honor our war dead. Prior to the services there will be a Mass in the school auditorium at 9 AM. After Mass, we enjoy a continental breakfast in the cafeteria.  This year, more than ever, we urge you to attend since this will be the last service held on the Northeast Catholic campus.
